Roughly nine months ago we posted a blog about trending products in the custom window coverings industry. Since a lot can change in nine months, we’ll use this post to talk about what we’ve seen since then, and what we expect going forward.
American Made
Without getting political, the Trump administration has brought with it an increased focus on supporting American manufacturing. The attention on American manufacturing has correlated to higher consumer demand for American made products.
Of course, as a family-owned American manufacturer, that’s music to our ears! While we won’t spend much time tooting our own horn, we are certainly proud of the fact that we’re an American manufacturer, and we look forward to continuing to supply high quality American product.
Transitional/Zebra Shades
Hottest product around. Quite simply, transitional shades (also known as zebra shades) are selling like crazy. What is a zebra shade? Check out our blog here, or our website. But consider yourself warned – as soon as you see it, you’re going to want it!
Why are zebra shades selling like crazy? They’re contemporary, fun, and functional. We really don’t need to say much more than that, because when it comes to transitional shades, the product speaks for itself!
Blues, Greens, Grays
Our last trending products post referenced the blue and gray color trend, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t talk about greens – especially after Greenery was named Pantone’s color of the year. Green isn’t necessarily one of our hottest sellers, but we have noticed an uptick in complementary colors. Off whites and beiges can beautifully complement both the cool blues and the vibrant greens.
Grays on the other hand are very popular colors for custom window coverings. We offer a full range of grays in roller shades, cellular shades, and have recently introduced gray colors to our wood blind program.
Made in America, zebra shades, and blues, grays, and greens. Those are the hottest trends that we’re seeing currently. Stay tuned for our next trending products post!
