Features of Our Woven Woods

Privacy and Light Control

Add a privacy liner for blackout woven wood shades.

Skandia woven wood shades are available with either a light filtering or blackout privacy liner, or with a pleated privacy liner. Woven wood shades are much more susceptible to minor imperfections, which may result in small light gaps. Minor imperfections are inherent to woven wood blinds, due to the use of natural grasses, reeds, and rattans. As such, if privacy and light control are key factors, we suggest purchasing a privacy liner to accompany your woven wood treatments.

Options

Get creative with woven wood shades.

Top-Down/Bottom-Up System: With the top-down/bottom-up system, a woven wood window treatment can be lowered from the top of the window, or can be raised from the bottom of the window. This provides the ability to leave an opening to view out at either the top of the window or the bottom of the window (shown in image).

Panel Track: Most woven woods can be used as a panel track system. Ideal for sliding glass doors, the panel track system can be as few as two or as many as six separate panels that can be slid horizontally on a track system. They operate very much like vertical blinds, however without the ability to tilt the individual panels.

Mandalay System: The Mandalay system makes it easy to use woven woods for wide windows or sliding glass doors. Similar to the cellular shade slider, the Mandalay system allows a woven wood shade to be slid horizontally - the same way that you would draw vertical blinds open or closed.

Motorization: Skandia's woven wood shades are available with motorized lift systems. Motorized woven wood shades provide a convenient, cordless window treatment.
